We had heard it was difficult to find people to do pretty much anything to your house in Duluth. We are new to the area and I had spent three weeks trying to find anyone who would even call me back to have some painting done. So, when I started looking for a contractor, my ex daughter in law suggested Knutson Construction and suggested I’d have a better chance of getting a response if instead of calling, I reached out with an email to you, Andrea.  She was right!

We were not in a hurry to have the work done as we were going to have them work while we were gone for the winter. However, we were in a hurry to get Andrew out so we could start looking for tile, fixtures, etc as we needed to leave for 5 months in a short three weeks. Andrew came to the house and we were both so impressed with his professionalism, good nature and his sincere interest in finding our who we were and what was important to us.

Andrew had several ideas which enhanced our plans and gave us suggestions on where to look for tiles, fixtures, etc.  Andrew spent a lot of time that first meeting and we were left knowing we could trust him to treat our house with total respect and care in our absence.  The team was very diligent about mitigating any dust or debris from the project. Andrew even upgraded our ceiling lights and fans since in our inexperience, that didn’t occur to us.  He also worked long and hard to get us the best prices possible on tile and fixtures.

We came home earlier than planned and were not too surprised the project was not quite finished as we knew they were using our project as a filler since they didn’t need to be concerned about disrupting homeowners living through a remodel. The small things left were finished quickly and we so appreciated Aaron’s attention to detail. There were a couple dings on two cabinet doors. I thought they could just be touched up but Aaron said absolutely not.  “We will have them remade because that’s the way we do it. We do it right.”   Anytime we had a question, either Aaron or Andrew answered our texts in a timely manner.  Since we were so impressed with the painting in the bathroom, we asked if we could have our bedroom painted quite soon as we were getting new carpet.  Sure thing, Aaron’s Dad would make himself available. He did a fantastic job and was so much fun to have in the house.

We came home after a big snowstorm. We had moved up from Texas and didn’t even own a shovel let alone a snowblower. Andrew came over himself the day before we got home and plowed out not only our main driveway, but also the huge driveway to our shed so we could put our motorhome away.
