What a fun project to work on!

This kitchen used to be dark and drab and now it is open, bright and full of life. Andrew Knutson and the client worked closely together to make sure the space was exactly what the client wanted. She is a phenomenal cook and loves to be in the kitchen and she needed a space she could not only work in but also liked to be in. We took the old kitchen out, brought it down the studs and started over. What we ended up with was a bright airy open kitchen. We added a large sliding door in to allow one to walk right out to the deck that overlooks Lake Superior. The color and pattern in the tile, the mix of cabinetry color and open shelf concept give off a more European vibe, which makes the space warm and inviting. Everything was placed where it is for a reason/purpose, which makes this kitchen not only beautiful but also extremely functional.
