A Well Oiled Machine Of A Kitchen

This busy family of four includes two teenage boys, working parents, and a charming Beagle. Their home is situated within walking distance of one of Duluth’s many hiking trails and two great restaurants.  They faced the same questions many homeowners ponder .  Do we embark on a large kitchen renovation and stay or do we look for something finished and move?  They decided to stay and now enjoy the new spacious and efficient kitchen renovation that perfectly suits their needs.

It was important to this family to have room for food storage and snacks for hungry and growing teenage boys so we created lots of pantry space for them.  A coffee station was also important to parents who were up and out the door early.  There was an existing radiator in front of a window that we turned into a cozy bench to perch on while hanging out in the kitchen.  This house was a traditional craftsman so we enlarged the kitchen footprint and opened it up to the dining room which included a built in hutch.  All the finishes were chosen to coordinate with the craftsman style and color palette, we even saved an original laundry chute in the corner (we’ve learned that people really like their laundry chute!)

This renovation took a few months and Duluth received a record amount of snowfall in the middle of it.  Our guys kept the job on time and on schedule and our design team kept it on budget.  We’re happy to say that when we delivered our thank you gift, a  ykeracres.com meat box, that our client was literally dancing around her kitchen.  We are so grateful that families rely on us to be good stewards of their hard earned money and know that we deliver every time.
